Description:   The University of California, Merced is a dynamic new university campus in Merced, California, which opened in September 2005 as the tenth campus of the University of California and the first American research university in the 21st century. In keeping with the mission of the University to provide teaching, research and public service of the highest quality, UC Merced offers research-centered and student-oriented educational opportunities at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels through three academic schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences/Humanities/Arts.

The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring a lecturer for Summer Session 2014 (Session B: June 23, 2014 - August 15, 2014) in the following lower division subjects:

Preparatory Calculus
Calculus I
Calculus II
Introduction to Scientific Data Analysis
Statistics for Scientific Data Analysis
Calculus I for Physical Sciences & Engineering Majors
Calculus II for Physical Sciences & Engineering Majors
Vector Calculus
Linear Algebra & Differential Equations
Probability & Statistics

This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers.

Qualifications:   Advanced degree in a related field and experience teaching at the college or university level is required.
Salary:   Based on an annual full-time salary of $47,584.00 and commensurate with experience
