Description:

UC Merced is also building the Downtown Campus Center, a $33 million, three-story administrative building in the heart of Merced.

Coordinate daily and long-range activities for the Director of Administration and for the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Administration (VCA). Manage on-line calendars of appointments, conferences, and travel. Assist organization of documents and databases; coordinate with many work groups, subgroups, and team captains to track follow up/action items. Prepare meeting materials in a timely and professional manner. Prepare travel vouchers, reimbursements and supply requests following University policies and guidelines. Create/maintain systems to coordinate, process, track and distribute complex planning documents. Serve as back up to the Executive Assistant to the VCA acting as primary communication for the VC. Organize and file materials, most of a confidential nature.

 
Qualifications:   • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Thorough knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

• Requires good verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-task and time management skills.

• Requires interpersonal and work leadership skills.

• Skill in managing sensitive and confidential information.

• Requires solid background in an executive administrative office.

• Proficiency in working with computers, word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, calendar, email and internet programs.

• Knowledge of UC Policies and Procedures preferred.
