The University of California, Merced is the newest and tenth campus of the University of California system and the first American research university built in the 21st century. Under the direction of the Manager of Student Services, the Academic Advisor and Coordinator of Student and Articulation Records provides advising for prospective and current students in the School's program. The incumbent is responsible for coordination of internal student records and course articulation, including identification and implementation of best practices. Responsible for creation of internal procedures and staff training in this area.

Qualifications:   • Masters degree in Education or related area preferred or Bachelors degree in related area and equivalent experience/training.

• Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques,

• Thorough knowledge of college/school policies, procedures, and requirements.

• Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving.

• Abilities in problem identification, reasoning, ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Demonstrated superior organizational skills to ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete data.

• Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
