The University of California, Merced is the newest and tenth campus of the University of California system and the first American research university built in the 21st century. Incumbent will use and perform basic design, development, modification and debugging of programs. Learn to develop database systems by conferring with high-level management to determine problems and requests feasibility of K-12 student databases, financial database, database-driven web application, analyze existing programs or works to formulate logic for new systems, prepares flowcharting, and performs coding, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of system and programming documentation.
Incumbent will conduct thorough and detailed systems analyses, learn to develop, maintain, and document data delivery solutions between partners and integration of K-12 school information system (Eagle XP, SASI XP, EduSoft, and PowerSchool), and administer scheduled data upload to UCOP and other partners.
Incumbent will learn to develop applications to provide data import and export between local database and UC Doorways, California Department of Education, California Standards Test data, California High School Exit Exam data, California English Language DevelopmentTest data; and SASI/XP K-12 information system.
Incumbent will also recommend operational changes for integrating systems into existing or new operational procedures learn to execute simple test plans, learn to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
