Description:  

The University of California, Merced is the tenth campus of the UC system and the first American research university built in the 21st century.

• Provide broad technical support to the Guardian Scholars Program.
• Create surveys, databases, web forms, and web pages.
• Update website content and social media accounts.
• Basic research with moderate data entry and analysis.
• Graphic design and publishing.
• Attend staff trainings and Coordinator meetings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications:   • Junior standing or higher and good academic standing at the time of hiring (Cumulative 2.75 GPA).
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of: Microsoft Excel and Access; Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Drupal, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, YouTube, Flickr, Tumblr, Google Apps, Android OS, iOS, Box, E-vite, Doodle, Qualtrics, and others.
• Knowledge of mobile application coding desired, but not necessary.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Ability to self-motivate, troubleshoot, and work independently.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA regulations.
• Ability to learn new skills, adapt to changing demands on the job, think creatively, and carry conceptual ideas through to implementation.
• Other duties as assigned.
