The University of California, Merced is the tenth campus of the UC system and the first American research university built in the 21st century.

This is primarily a clerical position in our fast-paced office. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of computer application software such as word and excel, be highly detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. The Admissions Student Assistant will be assigned several tasks at one time not limited to general clerical providing assistance in the processing of undergraduate application information and the retention of the records. Sorting, data entry, scanning documents into the Office of Admissions’ Document Management System. Provide general support to additional office functions such as tours, major events both on and off campus, student panels and other student recruitment events. Strict observation of the rules of confidentiality are required.

Qualifications:   Ability to lift up to 25lbs. Have dependable transportation to make it to off campus location. Written and oral communication is a must along with highly refined organizations skills, detail oriented mindset, ability to complete projects with precision and accuracy, high level of computer skills. Must be available to work during normal office hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
