Academic Planning Analysis Manager
    Generic Scope: Spends the majority of time (50% or more) achieving organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff. Establishes departmental goals and objectives, functions with autonomy. Manages the accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and often physical resources in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Ensures subordinate supervisors and professionals adhere to defined internal controls. Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets.

Under the general direction of the Vice President for IRAP and the IRAP Academic Planning Director, the Academic Planning Analyst Manager is responsible for key aspects of the IRAP's responsibilities in the academic planning area, with a focus on the areas of academic program review, accreditation, educational effectiveness, and in particular undergraduate education. Participate in and contribute to planning tasks using professional concepts and University policies and procedures to lead projects with participants across the UC System. Represent the University as appropriate, interacting with regional and statewide organizations and agencies regionally, particularly in areas related to academic programs, schools and degrees. Incumbent is responsible for outcomes through their own efforts or through the efforts of subordinate staff.

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

• At least three (3) years of experience in academic program planning and policy support and/or administration or oversight of an undergraduate or graduate program at a university or college.

• Thorough knowledge of organization processes, protocols, and procedures.

• Extensive analytical/problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with senior management, and lead and direct subordinates.

• Comprehensive project management skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience editing written materials.

• Experience supervising professional staff in a similar environment.

• Master's degree or higher in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

• Advanced knowledge of organization-specific computer applications.
