Staff Services Management (2-Positions)
    Under close supervision provided by an Audit Manager, the candidate will learn and develop appropriate skills and methods for performing accounting and management auditing procedures. This is an entry level position which will assist in examining organizations’ operations and conducting unclaimed property examinations of businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, high-tech companies, financial institutions, hospitals, retailers, utility companies, manufacturers, insurance companies, brokerage firms, multinational companies, and other business entities subject to review by the State Controller's Office, Division of Audits.

Unclaimed property is generally defined as any financial asset that has been left inactive by the owner generally for three (3) years. Examples of unclaimed property include, dormant bank accounts, abandoned stocks and dividends, uncashed payroll checks, and customer refunds.
