The Data Systems Analyst Uses data management concepts. Applies department and campus methodologies, policies and procedures to resolve a variety of data management issues. Works on data management problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

The Data Systems Analyst supports overall infrastructure, planning, and system software for the Health Services Department. This involves working in a collaborative role with the Campus IT Department. The position is responsible for maintaining an efficient, responsive, and secure operating environment for the Student Health Services electronic medical records system and the development and deployment of the department's web presence.




Qualifications:   • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and one year of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent training/experience.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of directly related experience

• Working knowledge in design and implementation of Client/Server in Heterogeneous System environments Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and Netoworking infrastructure, Active Directory, Open Directory, Oracle/Outlook Client, MS SQL Server, file/print services required.

• Working knowledge of UNIX, particularly SUN Solaris, LINUX, and BSD Unix protocol suites, and network service applications and vendors frequently used by research universities, including LDAP directories, IMAP4 email systems, SMTP, Kerberos, PKI, iCAL, RADIUS, etc., required.

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills in both non-technical and technical staff.

• Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in an environment with multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and internal customers required.

• Demonstrated ability to think clearly, creatively, and critically in a non-technical, ambiguous environment required.

• Demonstrated ability in working with staff and faculty in a research library environment required.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server required.

• Expert knowledge of System Back-up, and Disaster Recovery standards and techniques required.
