Description:  

Merced nAnomaterials Center for Energy and Sensing (MACES) sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was launched in the summer of 2015 at UC Merced. MACES serves as a nexus for nanomaterial-based research and education at UC Merced and beyond.

We are seeking student helpers who are capable of conducting the following one of the following tasks:
1. Web design
- Develops site navigation by categorizing content and debug code and re-design web pages;
- Upgrades site by updating content and graphics; monitor performance and identify and evaluate improvement options;
- Graphic design skills with a good portfolio are highly sought after.

2. Writing
- Revises material for reports, web content, brochures and other publications;
- Writes easy-to-understand content and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, etc.;
- Excellent written and communication skills in English are required.

 
Qualifications:   Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Must have excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and exercise independent and sound judgment.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
