Located within the Calvin E. Bright Success Center, the Office of Services for Undocumented Students and Special Populations assists undocumented students and first-generation students with academic and personal success via an array of programs, services, mentoring, and more.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of the Calvin E. Bright Success Center and the Fiat Lux Undocumented Student Advisor, will provide basic office assistance. Office duties include filing, data entry using Microsoft Excel and Word, calling vendors, answering phones, faxing, photo-copying, scanning, running errands on campus and various other duties as needed. Working hours are flexible. Looking for an extended commitment through the summer.

Qualifications:   REQUIRED:
• Maintain excellent attendance and be prompt
• Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive material
• Demonstrate high initiative, and be self-motivated, independent
• Must be extremely attentive to detail and well-organized
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to prioritize and multi-task
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Basic knowledge of state and university policies pertaining to undocumented students
• Available to work during summer
• Must be in good academic and judicial standing
• Able to work on weekends, Bobcat Day, Preview Day, Summer Orientation, and other designated events
• Able to work in the United States

• Bi-lingual
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (computer, fax, copier, scanner, shredder)
• Basic knowledge of university admissions processes and requirements as well as on-campus academic and administrative departments, student clubs, and extra-curricular activities in order to provide appropriate student guidance and/or referral for campus and community resources
• Familiarity with policies and/or laws pertaining to undocumented students
