The Bright Success Center (BSC) houses Academic Advisors for Students who are undeclared or those in need of any information regarding graduation requirements, course prerequisites and all other needs related to their success on campus. The BSC also coordinates the PALS program with sessions in chemistry, calculus, writing and physics in addition to Student Success Workshops and other workshops to assist students in developing their skills for succeeding in the classroom.

The Student Assistant for the Bright Success Center will primarily work with the PALS coordinator, and the Administrative Assistant of the BSC to provide office support (may work with other members as needed, time permitting). Responsibilities will include a variety of clerical duties including typing, data entry for PALS program and scheduling, the development and completion of excel spread sheets, and learning how to navigate the Insight system (crm). The use of office equipment is expected as well as the ability to record messages accurately. To complete assignments and projects, the Student Assistant will need to work cooperatively with other PALS staff to meet deadlines. In addition, the Assistant will be required to greet and refer faculty, staff, and students to the appropriate personnel. The Assistant is expected to interact with staff, students, and faculty in a professional manner.

Qualifications:   Student in Good Standing
Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills
Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel
Must be creative, professional, and maintain confidentiality
