Description:  

The CropMobster Intern will assist in the marketing, enrolling, maintaining, updating, sharing, posting etc. of all things CropMobster (cropmobster.com), and assist, when applicable, in food security efforts on and off campus.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the coordination of food security outreach programs and initiatives and assist in the development of programs, process and logistics including:
• Email and social media communication to campus (general marketing)
• Submit relevant food security information to UCM Communications
• Communication to various partners and with other off-campus entities
• Set-up and break-down of the CropMobster events
• Help manage implementation and promotion of CropMobster
• Create, submit and promote alerts
• Attend weekly intern meetings
• Brainstorm and create CropMobster videos
• Develop new workshops and educational sessions related to CropMobster
• Create assessments and organize assessment data in support of CropMobster implementation
• Submit end-of-semester and end-of-year reports
• Submit feedback and recommendations for the food security outreach and education
• Other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:   MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work within the mission of OLSC, CropMobster and the Food Pantry
• Must have a flexible work schedule and ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time
• Must be able to work in collaborative environment
• Ability to create appealing publicity for programs, events, and services
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when appropriate and to refer students to appropriate services on campus as necessary
• Working knowledge of desktop publishing software and PC/Macintosh computers
• Must be available to work over the summer and the academic year
• Must be available to work the third Friday of every month at the food pantry
• Must have and maintain a minimum of a 2.3 cumulative GPA
